Ford EcoBoost Wins 2015 International Sub 1.0-Litre Engine Of The Year
American based automobile giant, Ford is a popular brand all over the world. Over the years they have developing products to dominate with their engine prowess.
One of their best innovations in recent times is their 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine that does duty in several models. This engine has won several awards over the years since its inception.
Ford has won the 2015 International Engine of the Year award for a sub 1.0-litre engine. It has won this award for the fourth time in a row and is their eighth international award overall with the EcoBoost engine.
Joe Bakaj, vice president, Product Development, Ford of Europe, commented, "The 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine changed the game for small petrol engines and we're proud it remains best in class despite a growing number of competitors."
He further added, "The spirit of innovation that helped us create this engine is alive and well and we continue to develop new engines."
In international markets Ford offers its EcoBoost power unit with a variety of options. They are also developing a 3.5-litre V6 EcoBoost engine that will power their GT Supercar at 2016 Le Mans.
