American automobile giant, Ford currently offers voice control called SYNC in its vehicle. Now they have introduced six new apps within their AppLink for Asia and Europe. Ford owners can now avail of these services for no extra cost, all they need to do is download the app.
In Asia Pacific region Ford will offer China with Kaola FM, which give access to more than a million hours of audio playback. They will also offer services of Xiami Music, which provides over four million songs. Fairfax Radio will be provided to Australian owners of Ford vehicles.
For European countries, Ford AppLink now offer football score via Goal Live Score. They have also introduced their very first finance based app called CaixaBank. Lastly they have also provided a personalised radio station called Soundtracker.
Don Butler, Connected Vehicle and Services, Ford Motor Company, commented, "Across the world AppLink helps customers integrate their devices and the apps they know and love into their car."
He further added, "These new apps, ensure drivers won't have to wait to know when their team scores, can easily access music and radio shows, and even find a cash machine, while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel."
The announcement of these new applications being added to Ford AppLink was made at Mobile World Congress. Ford India introduced its AppLink services recently to its EcoSport compact SUV offering. It currently provides cricket updates within the vehicle via its SYNC feature.
