Force India Reveals 2015 Livery Tomorrow & Delay New Car For Feb

Sahara Force India is the only Indian lead team in Formula One championship. The team was formed in 2007 by Indian businessman Vijay Mallya and Michiel Mol. They purchased the Spyker F1 team, which was leaving the sport for a sum of 90 million Euro.

The Indian team secured its first Formula One championship at the 2009 Belgian GP. They achieved this goal with Giancarlo Fisichella by stepping on the podium with a second place finish. Their current line-up of driver consists of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg.

Every year Formula One teams launch new race liveries. Tomorrow on 21st of January, 2015 Sahara Force India will be unveiling their new race livery. They will be the first team to unveil their 2015 livery for Formula One.

Sahara Force India, however, will not be revealing their new vehicle for 2015. They will run the same Formula One car that they did at the 2014 championship at Jerez pre-season test on 1st to 4th February, 2015. The Indian team will launch their new car on 19th February at Barcelona.

The Silverstone based team has christened their new vehicle as ‘VJM08'. Sahara Force India will be using this time to develop their Mercedes powered engine. This is not common this year owing to the new engine development freeze rule for 2015.

Force India is the first to unveil its new livery for 2015 tomorrow. They will be followed by McLaren Honda, who will launch their competition car on 29th of January. Italian manufacturer Ferrari will unveil their ‘Prancing Horse' on 30th of January. Prior to first test, Mercedes will reveal their new car and livery on 1st February.
