Fiat To Launch Abarth Punto Evo & Abarth Avventura In India
Fiat has not launched anything new in India recently but had promised to introduce their ‘Abarth' brand. The Scorpion logo brand was showcased at 2014 Auto Expo and has been highly anticipated ever since.
The Italian based automobile manufacturer has constantly been talking about Abarth 500. Now Fiat India has been spied testing their Abarth versions of Punto Evo and Avventura models.
Currently Fiat manufactures its vehicles at Ranjangaon, Pune in Maharashtra. It was around this area that both Avventura and Punto Evo were caught in Abarth guises.
Both Punto Evo and Avventura were recently launched during 2014. Fiat is not selling its hatchback or crossover model in India as they had anticipated.
On the exterior both vehicles will sport Abarth logo and decals. They will also receive new alloy wheels, sporty body kit and a chrome exhaust pipe finisher. They may also be available in select colours, we like the black with red accent.
Under the hood of both models will be a 1.4-litre T-Jet engine. It will be tuned by Abarth and is expected to deliver 135 horsepower. Abarth will also provide firmer suspension, along with disc brakes in the front and rear.
