Fiat Launches the Abarth Punto In India; Prices Start At Rs. 9.95 Lakh
Fiat India launches its highly-anticipated Abarth Punto. Prices start at INR 9.95 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). This is the second Abarth model to be introduced in India, the very first was the 595 Competizione, which was launched in August this year.

Abarth
Punto
is
a
1.4-litre
T-Jet
petrol
engine.
The
engine
has
been
tuned
to
deliver
145
horsepower
and
212Nm
of
peak
torque.
For
a
more
connected
feel,
Abarth*
has
opted
for
a
sporty
5-speed
manual
transmission
and
can
achieve
speeds
of
0
to
100
km/h
in
a
matter
of
8.8
seconds.
With
145
horsepower,
the
Punto
Abarth
still
manages
to
return
a
fuel
efficiency
of
16.3
km/l.

Interior and exterior highlights:
A standout feature is the three spoke steering wheel, which is wrapped in leather. Other attention-grabbing features are: sporty seats, a black finish dashboard, aluminium foot pedals, 16-inch alloy wheels with a Scorpion inspired design, and an infotainment system with Blue and Me connect. The Abarth Punto is being offered only in a standard variant for the Indian market.

the
Punto
with
smart
airbags,
ABS
with
EBD,
and
follow-me-home
headlights.
Also
on
offer
is
front
power
windows,
which
roll
up
on
switching
off
the
ignition.
A
fire
prevention
system
is
also
provided
that
cuts
fuel
flow
in
case
the
vehicle
rolls
over
during
an
accident.

Currently,
the
only
competitor
for
the
Abarth
Punto
is
Volkswagen's
Polo
GT
TSI
model.

at

ex-showroom
(Delhi).
