The Abarth Avventura was launched in India by Fiat on October 19, 2015 and prices started at Rs. 9.95 lakh ex-showroom. Now within ten days of launching this product, Fiat India has hiked the price for this crossover to Rs. 10.01 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The end customer is going to be affected the most. As in India, when a vehicle price crosses Rs. 10 lakh, additional taxes are applied. The hike in ex-showroom price is not all that great, however, it would affect the buying decisions of many.
Powering the Abarth Avventura is a 1.4-litre, T-Jet engine. Abarth engineers have tuned this engine to produce 140bhp and 210Nm of peak torque. The performance crossover can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 9.9 seconds, and the vehicle offers a mileage of 17.1km/l.
Fiat India currently sells three models of the Abarth range. They include the 595 Competizione, Abarth Punto, and the Abarth Avventura. The latter two models have been developed and manufactured in India, and this is the very first time Abarth products have been built in India.
The Avventura powered by Abarth will be available in two colour options: Pearl White and Exotica Red. Abarth logos will be fixed in the front and on the rear, they will also apply a special ‘Powered by Abarth' badge on the rear doors of Avventura.
The Abarth Avventura is available only in a standard variant. Customers can purchase Abarth Punto or Avventura across India, through Fiat's 100 plus dealership network. Currently, Abarth Avventura has no direct competition in the Indian market.
