Fiat launches the Abarth Avventura in India for INR 9.95 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). The Abarth Avventura is based on the Avventura crossover, which is already on sale in the country. Abarth—Fiat's performance tuning division—now has three models on sale in India: Abarth Punto, Abarth 595 Competizione and now the Abarth Avventura.
The new crossover by the Italian carmaker is available in one variant only, with one engine option. Powering the Abarth Avventura is a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (T-Jet) that produces 140 horsepower and 210 Nm of peak torque. The power from this engine is delivered via a five-speed manual transmission. The Avventura can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds.
The Avventura comes packed with features such as electric boot release, automatic air conditioning, AC vents for the rear and follow-me-home headlamps. The rear mounted spare wheel is still retained from the regular Avventura.
The Abarth Avventura is available in Pearl White and Exotica Red colour options.
Speaking about the newly launched car, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India said, we are also widening and strengthening our product portfolio by introducing another performance oriented vehicle from FCA's stable. The Avventura powered by Abarth will be the fastest crossover in the country.
