Special Edition Fiat Abarth 695 Biposto Record Hits The Streets
Fiat has launched a 190bhp version of the 500 Abarth called the Abarth 695 Biposto Record.
The Abarth 695 Biposto Record celebrates Carlo Abarth achievement of using the Abarth 1000 Monoposto Record to break the class acceleration records at Monza in 1965. Abarth will limit the 695 Biposto to just 133 examples - the number of records Abarth has set.
Powering the Abarth 695 Biposto Record is the 1.4 multi-jet petrol which is also used in the normal Abarth 500. However it makes 190bhp and 250Nm of torque in the 695 Biposto Record, all of which is sent to the front wheels. The exhaust is an Akrapovic exhaust unit.
Fiat have put the Abarth 695 Biposto Record on a diet. All the normal seats have been ripped out and have been replaced by just two carbon fibre tubs from Sabelt. With the extra power and lowered heft, the 695 Biposto Record hits 100km/h in 5.9 seconds and pushes on to a top speed of 230km/h.
The Abarth 695 Biposto Record will be available only in the Modena Yellow colour and will be sold for £36,610.
