Ferrari Have Pace This Weekend To Compete With Mercedes At Bahrain
On 19th April, 2015 Formula One will race at Sakhir, Bahrain, but before that drivers have to qualify for their grid positions. So far only second practice is done and here are the results and predictions.
The practice session began as normal and was lead by Mercedes-AMG duo Hamilton and Rosberg. Their lead, however, has been slashed and serious competition is on a rise.
Scuderia Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel have showed excellent pace from the very beginning. The duo have continued their form into Sakhir, Bahrain and the race is going to be interesting for sure.
Qualifying for Bahrain GP will commence on Saturday at 08:30 pm IST. The race on Sunday will take place at 08:30 pm IST. It is one of the few races in Formula One calendar that are held in the night.
Practice two has ended and Nico Rosberg leads the way from team mate Lewis Hamilton. They were closely followed by Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel, who closed the gap significantly.
McLaren Honda struggled with issues and saw Jenson Button down in 19th position. Fernando Alonso muscled his way up to 12th place in a valiant effort. It will be interesting to see if the Spaniard can continue his form in qualifying session.
