Ferrari & Red Bull Occupy Podium At 2015 Hungarian F1 GP
Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull Racing have finally ended the winning streak of Petronas AMG Mercedes in 2015 F1 Championship. This is Sebastian Vettel's second victory in 2015 and also his second with the Italian manufacturer.
Finishing second at Hungarian GP was Danil Kvyat and teammate Daniel Ricciardo. It was eventful race weekend as Mercedes powered vehicles looked in menacing pace, however, did not have great race pace.
Another good news was that McLaren Honda secured a double point finish at Hungary. Fernando Alonso finished fifth, while teammate Jenson Button ended the race in ninth.
It was a disastrous weekend for Lewis Hamilton ending up in sixth place. Nico Rosberg was safe to finish on podium, however, a racing incident with Ricciardo caused a punctured tyre and loss of time.
Scuderia Ferrari seemed poised for a double podium finish. Kimi Raikkonen vehicle, however, developed some issue that lowered his pace significantly and the team decided to retire him.
Hamilton still has a 21 point lead over closest rival Rosberg in the 2015 Championship. Sebastian Vettel is also only 21 points behind Rosberg and could be a possible threat is fortune overturns.
