Ferrari 488 GTB Makes Asia Pacific Debut At Shanghai
The Ferrari 488 GTB, the latest car from the Italian Stables has made its debut at Shanghai Auto Show, and also its Asia-Pacific debut.
The press conference in Shanghai was attended by Amedeo Felisa, the CEO of Ferrari, Enrico Galliera, Ferrari's Senior Vice President for Commercial and Marketing, and Matteo Torre, the President for Ferrari Greater China.
After 40 years since the first Ferrari mid-engined car rolled out of the production line, called the 308 GTB, the 488 GTB does mark a historic event.
So what makes this car special? Well, it is powered by a mid mounted V8 engine that is capable of propelling the car to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3 seconds and all the way till 200 km/h in 8.3 seconds!
The turbocharged V8 engine produces 661 horsepower and is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
So how long before Ferrari fans in India can have the feel of being behind the wheel of the 488 GTB? Only time will tell.
