Eco Drive Rally To Promote Electric Mobility By FAME India

Eco Drive Rally is organised by FAME India to promote green electric mobility in the country. A week long campaign is organised to increase the use of hybrid and electric vehicles in India. Rallies and exhibitions will be held in three cities Delhi, Jaipur, and Chandigarh.

FAME India is organising the Eco Drive Rally on November 26 in Delhi, November 30 in Jaipur, and December 7 in Chandigarh. Eco Drive Rally will be supported by the Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV). The focus will be to promote application of electric and hybrid vehicles in India.

Flagging off the Delhi drive will be Anant Geete, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Govt of India from Red Fort. The Rally will continue through Delhi, visiting major locations and will end at MDI Gurgaon.

Participating in FAME India's Eco Drive Rally will be a wide range of two-wheelers, cars, and buses which use hybrid or electric motors. All vehicles will showcase their range, as they travel from Red Fort to Gurgaon, a distance of 40 kilometres.

Sales of Electric Vehicles have increased in the country within the last six months. FAME India is confident that they can record 200 percent growth by 2016-end. Central Government's mission is to support and have several Electric Vehicles on Indian roads.
