Diesel Price Hiked By 95 Paise Per Litre; Petrol Unchanged

News comes in a bad way for Diesel vehicle owners since the price of diesel has gone up by 95 paise per litre; Petrol price on the other hand, remains unchanged.
The hike in price is effective, Thursday midnight (15th October).
This is the second time diesel price has been increased this month. On the 1st of October, diesel was hiked by 50 paise per litre.
Petrol on the other hand, last saw a change in price on the 1st of September, when it was reduced by Rs 2 per litre.
Fuel retailers like Indian Oil Corp (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) revise petrol and diesel prices on the 1st and 16th of every month, based on average import cost and rupee-dollar exchange rate in the previous fortnight.
