DC Avanti To Most Likely Be Launched By Mid April In India
The Avanti by DC is by far one of the most anticipated sportscar in India. Especially because it has been built by Indians, in India itself by DC Design.
Avanti was showcased to all during the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. DC has finally decided that it could launch its sportscar in India by mid-April, 2015.
DC Design has been accepting bookings for its Avanti for a while now. Customers will be able to enjoy their new sportscar by the end of this month if they launch it by mid-April.
Powering India's first sportscar will be a 2.0-litre petrol powered, turbocharged engine. It will generate 248 bhp, along with 241 Nm of peak torque output.
Avanti's engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox for driving pleasure. The sportscar will be rear-wheel driven and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in a matter of 8 seconds.
It is estimated that DC Avanti will cost around INR 35,00,000 ex-showroom. This is the very first model by the Indian designer to offer a production model, however, we believe there will be extensive customisation options available.
