BMW launches the X5M and X6M in India. The launch further strengthens BMWs M range in the country. The X5M and the X6M are based on BMWs X5 and the X6 models that are already on sale in India.
Including these two new launches, the German carmaker's performance car portfolio currently stands at six car models, which include the M3, M4, M5 and M6 Gran Coupe.
The BMW M performance vehicles will compete against the Mercedes-AMG vehicles in India, and will be sold in exclusive dealerships, dedicated to them called the BMW M Studio. Mumbai recently had one M Studio inaugurated and more cities in India will follow.
BMW X5M and X6M pricing in India:
– BMW X5M - INR 1.55 crore
– BMW X6M - INR 1. 60 crore
Both prices are ex-showroom.
The BMW X5M and X6M will be powered by a 4.4-litre, twin turbo, V8 petrol engines that produce 575 horsepower and 750 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox, that deliver power to all four wheels.
0 to 100 km/h takes 4.2 seconds and the top speed is electronically restricted to 250 km/h. The engines on the X5M and the X6M is the same that powers the M5 and the M6 Gran Coupe.
Some of the features are Park Distance Control, adaptive LED headlights, automatic climate control, automatic dimming ORVMs, headlight washer system and anti-dazzle high-beam function with active cornering function.
