Bang & Olufsen Acquired By Harman To Strengthen Car Audio Business
The car audio entertainment business is a prominent one in India. Several vehicle owners swap out the originally fitted entertainment system for better and improved versions.
More and more manufacturers are now offering more premium audio system in their vehicles as standard equipment. This has surely dropped the percentage of people changing OEM fitted audio systems.
Now Harman is one of the biggest car audio companies, they have now acquired Bang & Olufsen. The acquisition amount has not been disclosed by either company, however, it must be an hefty sum of money.
Bang & Olufsen provide their audio entertainment system to several luxury vehicles. Currently Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin offer Bang & Olufsen audio system in their cars.
Harman is keen to provide its customers with several options for in-car audio system. With the addition of Bang & Olufsen they have further strengthened their portfolio.
