Bajaj RE60 Launching On September 25th
Bajaj RE60 launch date has been confirmed to be on the 25th of September, after a long wait to get papers and legal documents in place and cleared.
The RE60 quadricycle from Bajaj will be powered by a 216 cc, single-cylinder, DTS-i petrol engine that will produce around 20 PS of power. This engine is expected to be mated to a four-speed gearbox.
The RE60 will be positioned above the existing auto rickshaws, since it has four wheels. It could also become the next mode of public transport in India. Four wheels will make the vehicle more stable compared to the three-wheeled autos.
Bajaj could price the quadricycle below INR 2 lakh, because the company has been permitted to sell the RE60 as an urban commercial vehicle.
The RE60 will be sold only as a commercial vehicle for now and there will be more details about it being sold for private use during its launch.
