Bajaj Auto RE60 To Be Exported To International Markets
Indian manufacturer of the popular autorickshaw is planning on introducing their RE60 quadricycle. Bajaj Auto has showcased this vehicle at 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi.
The RE60 is a quadricycle that will offer more safety and comfort. It is aimed to replace the three-wheeler transport system that exists in most Asian countries.
The Indian manufacturer was too launch it domestically first, however, due to legal issues its launch has been delayed. Bajaj will now commence export of its quadricycle to Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Egypt and many more countries.
Bajaj engineers have provided its RE60 with a single cylinder 216cc petrol unit. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Performance figures have not yet been provided.
The Indian manufacturer is exporting its quadricycle as it cannot be sold in India currently. Since it cannot begin domestic sales Bajaj is exploring their option of exporting the RE60 as soon as possible.
Bajaj Auto plans to begin international export soon of its RE60. This quadricycle will be available only as a commercial vehicle and would not be offered for private use. It is expected to bear a price tag of INR 1,00,000 ex-showroom.
