Audi S5 Sportback Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 62.96 Lakh
Audi S5 Sportback launches in India at a price tag of Rs. 62.96 Lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The German luxury car manufacturer has added this four-door luxury coupe to their impressive lineup of products in India.
The S5 Sportback was supposed to launch earlier in the country, however, it was postponed due to various reasons. Previously, Audi India launched the new Q3, RS7, RS6 Avant, TT Coupe, and A6 Matrix models.
Powering the S5 Sportback is Audi's 3.0-litre, V6 TFSI turbocharged direct injection engine. The engine delivers 328bhp and 440Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic DSG automatic transmission, which powers all four wheels.

Audi India will provide the S5 Sportback with eight airbags, Electronic Stabilisation Control with brake assist, ABS with EBD, tandem brake booster, and disc brakes for front and rear wheels. The vehicle will also feature cruise control with automatic braking intervention.
The design of the S5 Sportback is typical Audi; the S5 Sportback bears the traditional signature front grille. Surprisingly there is extensive use of chrome along the front fascia.
Audi currently sells the RS5 in India and the S5 Sportback is a more practical option, compared to the performance oriented model. The suspension setup and performance is focussed at providing occupants a more comfortable experience.
Currently, Audi S5 Sportback has no direct competitors in the Indian market. The German automobile manufacturer plans on launching a few more products in the country in an attempt to regain sales compared to the segment leader and compatriot, Mercedes-Benz.
