Audi India Expects Double Digit Growth For 2015
German luxury brands have a strong hold of the Indian market. The trio of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are dominating the market in terms of sales of luxury vehicles. These brands are bringing new products to India as well are setting up shop to make their vehicles competitive in terms of pricing.
Audi launched its A3 Cabriolet in Bangalore on 23rd of January, 2015. Present at the launch was Aditya Patel, international racer and Gul Panag, Bollywood actress. The A3 Cabriolet has been priced at INR 45,83,000 ex-showroom, Bangalore.
The German manufacturer has won several awards for their 2014 performance and product launches. They have set their goal for 2015 as well and believe they can achieve it with relative ease. Their goal is to achieve double digit growth in 2015.
Joe King, Audi India Head commented that luxury car market will grow in higher single digit figures. They, however, will aim at increasing their luxury car market share. The German manufacturer believes new products and refreshes to existing line-up will attract buyers.
In 2014 the German manufacturer sold 10,851 luxury vehicles, this was a sizeable growth over their 2013 sales. They managed growth of nearly eight percent. Audi India too has commented that the rollback of excise duty benefit, came as a surprise and would definitely affect sales to a certain degree.
Audi plans to introduce ten new models in India during 2015. They also will be introducing more dealership outlets in India. Currently they have 61 dealership across India and more outlets will boost sales further. They will also be focussing on local assembly of more models to price its products competitively.
