2016 Honda Accord Unveiled; Gets Apple CarPlay And Style Upgrades
Japanese carmaker Honda has unveiled the 2016 Honda Accord with a host of upgrades including how the car looks and entertains drivers.
The exterior of the new Accord gets sharper character lines and the company's has chosen Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Engine
Specification:
Although
the
car
has
received
a
long
list
of
upgrades
and
changes,
the
engine
is
the
same
as
the
previous
generation.
It
will
be
powered
by
either
a
2.4-litre
four-cylinder
or
a
3.5-litre
V6.
The four-cylinder has a choice of either a six-speed manual or CVT, while the V6 gets either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
External
Upgrades:
Major
noticeable
exterior
upgrades
apart
from
the
sharp
character
lines
are
a
redesigned
front
fascia,
LED
fog
lights,
a
new
grille,
LED
headlights
and
taillights
and
aggressively
designed
bumpers.
The
will
ride
on
19-inch
wheels
as
well.
Interior
Upgrades:
The
most
exciting
feature
on
the
inside
will
be
the
Apple
CarPlay
and
Android
Auto,
which
can
be
accessed
through
a
7-inch
touchscreen.
Apart
from
that,
the
car
is
equipped
with
heated
rear
seats,
HD
Radio,
60/40
split
and
folding
rear
seat
and
new
rain-sensing
wipers.
Safety
Upgrades:
In
terms
of
safety,
the
2016
Accord
will
have
Honda
Sensing-Honda's
safety
and
driver-assistive
technology.
This
will
include
Collision
Mitigation
Braking
System
with
Forward
Collision
Warning,
Lane
Keeping
Assist,
Road
Departure
with
Lane
Departure
Warning
and
Adaptive
Cruise
Control.
The car is expected to launch in August, but no confirmed reports of its Indian debut. 2016 seems to be a good time to expect the car here though. Stay tuned!
