2015 New York Auto Show: Subaru STI Performance Concept Revealed
The 2015 New York Auto Show commenced on 1st April with several manufacturers showcasing their concepts and future models. Subaru showcased its STI Performance concept at the auto show.
The two-door coupe concept by Subaru is based on their BRZ model. It is most likely that the Japanese manufacturer will introduce this concept as a STI version of the BRZ.
Japanese four-wheeler manufacturer, Subaru has unveiled its STI Performance concept at the 2015 new York Auto Show. This model is expected to go into production soon.
The styling provided by Subaru designers is subtle and sporty. They have opted for a matte blue paint scheme for the STI Performance concept. Subaru has provided racing red highlights.
Subaru STI Performance concept is a two-door coupe model. We like the mirrors, which are streamlined and look aerodynamic. The vehicle drives on 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The rear sports an aerodynamic spoiler, which improves downforce and stability of the vehicle at high speeds. Subaru STI Performance concept sports dual exhaust outlets integrated into a rear diffuser. Japanese designers have maintained a simplistic design to the rear.
Subaru engineers have provided a 2.0-litre, in-line four cylinder engine under the STI Performance concept hood. This engine has been tuned to generate 300 bhp. The vehicle has a state-of-the-art chassis, suspension and aerodynamic packages. The Japanese manufacturer has not revealed launch details but have promised an announcement soon.
