2015 New York Auto Show: New Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Unveiled
Toyota has revealed its all-new RAV4 hybrid at the 2015 New York Auto Show. It will be launched in certain markets by late-2015 and other markets by early-2016.
RAV4 hybrid will be powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine under the bonnet. An electric motor will power the rear axle, thus making the SUV an all-wheel drive.
The Japanese manufacturer has equipped its RAV4 hybrid with several safety features:
- 360 degree panoramic view monitor
- Pre-collision system
- Lane departure alert
- Automatic high beam
- Road sign assist
- Adaptive cruise control
Designers at Toyota have improved the front fascia of their RAV4 hybrid. They have also provided full LED headlights and a well sculpted front bumper.
From the side Toyota's hybrid SUV looks smooth and has flowing lines. The rear has been redesigned to give new RAV4 for strong road presence with the help of new bumpers and tail lights.
