2015 Geneva Motor Show: Morgan Aero 8 Revealed
Geneva Motor Show is one of the grandest and biggest automobile shows on Earth. Manufacturers from all over the world present their models and concept cars. Alongside regular manufacturers there are a few hand crafted, limited number models as well.
Morgan is one such brand and they have introduced their Aero 8 model. This new model will take the place of Aero coupe and their Aero supersport models. The British manufacturer confirms that this truly is their ultimate model in its Aero range.
Morgan will be providing its Aero 8 with a 4.8-litre, V8 petrol engine, which has been sourced by BMW. They offer a 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional automatic transmission. A limited-slip differential has also been sourced from the German manufacturer.
The Aero 8 gets an improved chassis and suspension setup. They have also improved handling, body roll, low speed ride and cornering ability. Morgan will also provide a double-wishbone and an anti-roll bar system.
The Aero 8 is a convertible and has been completely redesigned. Morgan has maintained the front styling of their two-seater to provide a sense of familiarity. An optional removable hardtop will also be offered to customers.
Morgan's Aero 8 has lost weight in the right manner and will now weigh only 1000 kilograms. The engineers have also improved aerodynamics, wind noise and protection from water seepage. They have made their new vehicle everything that their previous models lacked.
