2015 Geneva Motor Show: Lotus Evora 400 Supercar Launched
This year the Geneva Motor Show was a treat for every automobile and supercar enthusiast. There were several manufacturers who showcased their performance oriented vehicles. British supercar maker Lotus was also present with their new flagship supercar.
Lotus has launched its new flagship supercar, which they have christened as ‘Evora 400'. It was unveiled to all at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which is held from 5th to 15th March, 2015. The supercar is an upgrade from its regular Evora, which was struggling in terms of sales.
The Evora 400 is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5-litre, V6 supercharged and charge-cooled engine. Lotus engineers have extracted 400 horsepower and 410 Nm of peak torque from their engine. This flagship supercar can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 4.2 seconds and can attain a top speed of 300 km/h.
Jean-Marc Gales, Chief Executive Officer for Group Lotus plc, explains, "A requirement for all Lotus cars is to be a benchmark for handling, to be the quickest car from A to B and to provide the driver with a pure and involving driving experience."
He further added, "The Evora 400 is the fastest road-going Lotus that we have ever produced, possessing performance that can only be matched by cars costing significantly more. It delivers supercar looks allied to supercar performance."
Lotus has confirmed that the launch of their Evora 400 marks a new beginning for the manufacturer. They will launch several new supercars going forward to boost sales for the British supercar maker. So pay keen attention to Lotus and their new vehicles coming soon.
