2015 Geneva Motor Show: Infiniti QX30 Concept Breaks Cover

Geneva Motor Show is one of the biggest shows for all of the automobile industry. Present at the grandest motor show is Infiniti with their concept vehicle. The Japanese luxury car maker showcased its QX30 Concept, which is placed in a new segment.

Infiniti QX30 is a compact SUV concept by the manufacturer and is step towards their future models. Performance and luxury will be the key aspects of this model. It is truly a one of a kind vehicle and looks spectacular from every angle you look at it.

Roland Krueger, Infiniti President and CEO, commented, "With the QX30 Concept, we're showcasing a distinctively contemporary alternative in the premium compact segment for those who want something more than the status quo."

Alfonso Albaisa, Executive Design Director at Infiniti, expressed, "We've used expected materials in an unexpected way, and given functional elements an artistic twist. It is the unconventional execution of a conventional element that makes the QX30 Concept a design leader."

QX30 is still in its concept stage, however, Infiniti has said that under the hood will be a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine. It will be a four-wheel drive and the engine will be mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Infiniti plans on also offering diesel and hybrid engines in their production QX30 compact SUV.

Infiniti confirms that their QX30 will enter production by 2016. Nissan currently owns the brand and is contemplating of launching a more premium brand in India. Infiniti and its compact SUV could be the perfect entrant for a new brand. We would love to see the Infiniti QX30 on road in India, however, it will not be anytime soon.
