2015 Formula One Bahrain GP: Hamilton Wins Ahead Of Raikkonen
Lewis Hamilton continued his race domination at the night race in Sakhir, Bahrain. The Mercedes clearly is still the fastest car out on Formula One track in 2015 championship.
Scuderia Ferrari duo Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel have cut down Mercedes-powered vehicles lead substantially. The Italian outfit has a good race package as well as great race strategies that keep them well placed.
Raikkonen and Vettel jumped to second and third after the first corner, delegating Rosberg to fourth place. Nico Rosberg fought consistently and won back second position ahead of Ferrari.
The race was purely based on who had a better strategy, which looked in favour of Ferrari. Raikkonen slapped on a softer tyre option for his final pit stop giving him an edge over his rivals.
Vettel looked comfortable to secure third place, however, a racing incident forced him to the pits for a nose change. It dropped him down to fifth place, which was better than no points a t all.
Both Force India drivers completed the race with Sergio Perez securing eight place and collecting fur vital points. Teammate Nico Hulkenberg did not win any points and finished the race in 13th position.
McLaren Honda and Jenson Button had a disastrous day as a electrical issues could not be resolved. This meant that he could not start Sunday's race, it would have been a personal achievement, as it would have been his 100th GP with McLaren.
Fernando Alonso on the other hand had a relatively better day in his McLaren Honda. The Spaniard fought hard and missed out on points in Bahrain. Alonso drove the wheels of his F1 machine climbing up to eleventh position.
