Dodge have claimed something very bold. They claim that the 2015 Charger Hellcat is the fastest sedan in the world.
In this recent video that they have released to back up their claim, the Charger Hellcat achieves a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h)
Dodge say that the car that was tested is a prototype just before going into production. It is the exactly same car that will be offered to customers. Ride height and the tuning is going to exactly the same as well.
Even the tires that are fitted, pirelli, the only all-season tire currently certified for 200 mph will be available for the customer spec cars as well.
The 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat is tested on an oval track for the top speed. The car is tested with and against the wind and an average of the two are taken.
Powering the car is 707-horsepower engine that can run a quarter mile in flat 11 seconds and can accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in under 13 seconds.
