2015 Geneva Motor Show: Ford EcoSport S Debuts Sans Rear Mounted Wheel

American automobile giant, Ford is present all over the world. They offer a wide range of products to international markets. At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show they have taken the opportunity to showcase its EcoSport S model, which has been revealed for the first time.

Ford has provided its EcoSport S with a few subtle changes. First and foremost the urban SUV loses its spare rear mounted wheel. The manufacturer has also omitted roof rails on this new model. They have, however, improved on the driving experience making it a more city-oriented vehicle.

The American manufacturer provides its EcoSport S with an all-new paint scheme which will be available by 2015-end. Vehicles roof and OVRMs get a standout lack paint finish. To match the look even the new sporty 17-inch alloy wheels get a gloss black finish. They have also included a sporty rear diffuser with a scuff plate upfront.

Ford EcoSport S will also sport a host of new features like:

  • 1.Partial leather seats
  • Charcoal black instrument panel, centre console and door panels
  • Backlight dimming for instruments
  • 4-inch infotainment system
  • Chrome power window switches
  • Chrome embellishment around air-con vents
  • Privacy glass
  • Spare wheel or tyre mobility kit
  • Handbrake has been repositioned

Joe Bakaj, Vice President, Product Development, Ford of Europe, commented, "Ford EcoSport is already popular with customers in Europe who are looking for a flexible, stylish, and economical compact SUV."

He further added, "This range of enhancements including an EcoSport that is now available without the rear-mounted wheel makes EcoSport an even more compelling choice as part of our growing SUV range."
