Yamaha India Registers Growth In July, 2014
Japanese automobile giant Yamaha, has reported that it has grown by 36 percent in domestic sales, compared to July, 2013. They sold 50,286 vehicles in July, 2014, however, in July, 2013 Yamaha sold 37,026 vehicles. They believe their growth is due to variety of reason.
Earlier in the year, Yamaha introduced another scooter to its product offering in the form of the Alpha. Recently, they also refreshed their models that have revived them in the Indian market. They also sell the Ray and Ray-Z among their scooter lineup and plan to introduce more of them.
The FZ version 2.0 and FZ-S version 2.0, both of which get new and more efficient engines. New products and several customer engaging activities are believed to be the reason of growth. Yamaha is now planning to introduce a refreshed version of its Fazer for India too.

Roy Kurian, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, explained, "The incessant growth numbers are a sign of Yamaha's robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programs. This month we witnessed brisk growth due to our robust product line-up and new launches during the year."
He further added, "FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0, launched last month, have indeed been key in boosting our sales, however, Alpha, launched at the Auto expo, continues to be the key contributor for us. Against this backdrop, we are confident of continuing our growth story in the coming months as well."

Yamaha is keen to launch its first quarter litre motorcycle in India and biking enthusiasts are waiting for it. The R25 by Yamaha is planned to launch in India by year's end. It has been an instant hit in Indonesia and will be a definite buy in India. The Japanese manufacturer believes, majority of its sales will come from scooters and plan to launch one more by 2014 end.
