Volkswagen Discontinues Polo GT Range, New Model Coming Soon
The German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen had recently introduced its power packed hatchbacks. They called it the Polo GT and it was available in two models TSI and TDI variant. However, the German based manufacturer has asked its dealers to stop accepting bookings of the vehicle.
Volkswagen did not expect the power packed Polo GT to be such a hot success in India. The German manufacturer has cleared all stocks and have thus, opted not to accept further booking for the GT models in India.
The German automobile manufacturer is set to launch a facelifted version of its hatchback in July, and a new lineup of the GT range too. The facelifted models will sport minor exterior changes.

The current breed of Polo GTs sported a 1.2-litre petrol TSI turbocharged engine. The engine was tuned to produce 104 horsepower along with 170 Nm of peak torque. The Polo GT TSI is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch DSG transmission.
Volkswagen Polo GT TDI has a larger 1.6-litre diesel turbocharged mill under the bonnet. It has been tweaked to generate 103 horsepower and a peak torque output of 250 Nm. The Polo GT TDI is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Volkswagen is set to launch the facelifted version of Polo hatchback this July. The German manufacturer will comment then on when they would introduce the new versions of the Polo GT TSI and TDI for the Indian market.
