Japanese automobile giant Toyota has recently launched in India two new vehicles. It first launched the Toyota Etios Cross, which was soon followed by the 2014 Corolla Altis. They had showcased a few of its product offerings at the 2014 Auto Expo, held in New Delhi.
Toyota is now set to globally launch its refreshed version of Camry. The Japanese manufacturer is expected to launch its luxury sedan at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in a few months. The 2015 Camry will come to India, however, it is unclear when.
The Japanese manufacturer will provide its new Camry with petrol as well as a hybrid engine option. The sedan will sport a 2.5-litre engine and will produce maximum power of 177 bhp. The hybrid gets the same engine, however, it will be down tuned to produce 158 bhp.
The New Camry is expected to go on sale in developed markets like North America and certain parts of Europe. For international markets Toyota will not be offering a diesel powered Camry. In India, though the Japanese manufacturer could offer a diesel variant.
Toyota is expected to redesign the exterior of its new Camry. The sedan will get new bumpers, headlight and grille. The headlight gets projector lamps, along with LED Daytime Running Lights. Fog lamps are also expected to get a new design, the front is expected to look sporty yet elegant.
We expect the Japanese manufacturer will provide a major revamp within the cabin of its new Camry. The interiors will get more premium and up-market feel compared to the previous generation camry sold in India. It will be a vehicle that will be cherished when occupants are seated on the back seat.
