Tata To Export Manza And Aria To Ghana
Tata Motors has been exporting products to international markets for a while now. They now will be launching their sedan Manza and Aria in Ghana.
Tata Motors will sell vehicles there with the help of Modern Auto Services in West Africa. Tata Motors could do well owing to the Modern Auto Services' vast dealer network in West Africa.
Ghana already knows about Tata Motors as the Indian manufacturer has been exporting commercial vehicles for over 40 years now. In 2006, the Indian manufacturer began exports of passenger vehicles. It included the Indica, Indigo, Safari and Sumo in their product line up for Ghana.
Tata will provide Ghana with the older model of the Aria, and equip it with a 2.2 litre DiCOR diesel engine. It will produce 138 bhp and will be coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Ghana-spec Aria will feature ABS, steering mounted controls, reverse parking sensor, ABS, cooled glove compartment and 17-inch wheels as standard.
Ghana will receive the same Manza that is available in India currently. The India-spec manza features a 1.4 litre petrol engine and generates 88 bhp along with 116 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Ghana spec Manza will get India's Gold trim which, is their feature-packed car. It will include front airbags, ABS, steering mounted controls, power windows, electronically adjustable rear view mirrors and Bluetooth connectivity.
Tata Motors explains they would launch more cars in Ghana in the near future. They believe there is great potential in the African country for Tata to grow further.
