Tata Nano Twist Price Announced Upon Launch
Tata Nano with the long awaited feature of power steering is finally here. Tata Nano Twist, as it is called, is priced at INR 2.36 lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes only in the top end XT variant.
Tata Nano Twist is equipped with a power steering unit developed specifically for the Nano by German firm ZF, in association with Bosch. The system uses a brushless motor and features ‘Active Return'. This functions by returning the steering wheel back to the center automatically after being turned, a first in an entry level car.
The story continues in the next section. Click through the slides for more:
The Nano Twist also gets an all new instrument cluster that has LED fuel and temperature indicators, average fuel economy and distance to empty indicators and digital clock.
Other standard features are front power windows, remote keyless entry among others. Another notable addition is the a new body colour, Damson Purple seen in the image.
Tata Nano Twist's INR 2.36 lakh price tag is just Rs 13,000 over the non-power steering variants. But it still brings the Nano close to Maruti Suzuki Alto 800's base price of INR 2.45 lakhs.
