Tata Motors Sales Report Of February 2014
Tata Motors has released their February 2014 sales report. They reported a bump up of 2% in sales. While Jaguar Land Rover reported an increase of 14%, which includes global units sold. The British car brand sold 30,487 vehicles in February.
Jaguar Land Rover witnessed a 44% increase in sales in Chinese regions. Surprisingly it reported just 1% increase in Europe. However, North America accounted for 12%, while Asia Pacific grew by 16%. These are great numbers for the luxury car manufacturer.
Since January JLR, has sold 69,593 units, which is an increase of 13%. The car manufacturer in February alone sold 5,300 Jaguar cars, a 15% increase and Land Rover reported 25,187 vehicles sold, which is an increase of 13%
Due to domestic decline in domestic market sales, their stock has been under tremendous pressure. Their total Vehicle sales fell by 35.56%, which is 39,951 vehicles in February 2014, based on yearly analysis.
We had reported earlier that Tata had even offered its employees an Early Retirement Offer(ERO). They had offered this option to 600 of their employees, in an attempt to cut their expenditures.
Its a win lose situation for Tata, in this economic slowdown. As the saying goes something is better than nothing.
