Women In F1; Susie Wolff Joins Williams

Susie Wolff will join Williams' F1 team. She will be the first female driver in 20 years to participate in an official Grand Prix session. She will participate in two friday practices for Williams'.

Woff will participate as part of Williams' development driver for 2014 season. She was 2013, best performer among young drivers test, held at Silverstone.

Before Wolff could join Williams, she drove in DTM series of Germany. She participated in the series for seven seasons. She was also nominated twice for the BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award.

Williams partnered with Wolff in 2012, April. She was instrumental in the development of current FW36 as well as previous FW35 and FW34. She will help further developing the FW36 in Williams simulators.

It will be great to have a lady among so many men, who have hogged the limelight over the years. We wish her to all the very best and hope we see many more ladies in the sport.
