Skoda Looking To Achieve One Million Sales Globally In 2014
Czech manufacturer, Skoda is a part of the Volkswagen Group. They have recently launched several new products in their markets. Skoda has also showcased several new and upcoming concepts at recent auto shows around the world.
They have been trying to achieve sales figures of one million in a single calendar year. Back in 2013, Skoda managed to sell 9,20,800 automobiles, which was decent figures in tough market conditions and a slowing economy. They had beaten their 2012 sales figure by 16,100 vehicles.
In 2014 Skoda believes it can breach the one million barrier. They have already sold 9,55,300 automobiles between January and November. So far the Czech manufacturer has already sold 90,200 vehicles globally in November alone.
Globally Skoda has witnessed excellent sales in November compared to its competitors. Top officials claim that this is the best November sales figure achieved by the manufacturer ever. The boost in sales will surely help them achieve their dream of achieving one million sales in 2014.
The Czech manufacturer benefitted the most from their sales in China. Skoda sales figures grew by 46.9 percent in China by selling 26,800 vehicles in November, 2014. Their best seller was the Octavia sedan, which has been given a facelift recently.
Skoda India currently offers the Fabia hatchback, along with their Yeti SUV. The Czech manufacturer also sells its Rapid, Octavia and Superb sedans. They are trying hard to capitalise on the growing Indian market. Their plan is to grow their dealership and enhance the overall customer experience.
