Skoda Reveals 2015 Engine To Power Fabia
Czech manufacturer Skoda will be soon revealing its new 2015 Skoda at the Paris Motor Show. It will be revealed in October 2014 and is expected to come to India too. The new hatchback will get several new design elements along with an all new engine line up.
Skoda will provide the 2015 Fabia with both petrol as well as diesel engines. The new engines will be more efficient, while still providing superior performance. The new engine will be based on the MQB platform. The Czech manufacturer will be phasing out its previous engines.
2015 Skoda Fabia will have a 1.4-litre TDI aluminium engine. The 3-cylinder mill will sport direct injection and will be available in different engine tunes. The engine will produce between 73.9 horsepower to 103.5 horsepower.

The petrol engine will be available in either a 3-cylinder MPI 1.0-litre engine. They will also have an optional 1.2-litre TSI engine in a 4-cylinder configuration. The engines will produce between 59 horsepower to 108.4 horsepower. The 2015 engines will be paired to a manual transmission as well as a double clutch DSG automatic transmission.
Skoda will later launch a new diesel engine to power its 2015 Fabia. This new engine will be the most frugal diesel mill till date. The engine will be used by several other brands under the Volkswagen group. The new diesel engine will be EURO-6 compliant and will be a great addition in India.
When launched in India 2014 Skoda Fabia will have to face competition from Maruti Suzuki Swift, Fiat Punto Evo, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz. Pricing will be the vital aspect, whether the hatchback will witness success or not.
