SIAM signs MoU with JAMA

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), has signed a MoU with its Japanese counterpart Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) to reinforce the friendly and cooperative relationship.

This MoU will help both the countries to officially share information with each other as the new Indian Government is initiating two way trade with different countries, and especially with the automobile industry in India growing steadily.

The agreement was signed by the Chairman of JAMA, Fumihiko Ike, who is also the Chairman for Honda Motor Company and by Vikram Kirloskar, President for SIAM and Vice Chairman for Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

Vikram, speaking about the occasion said that SIAM is pleased to take the relationship with JAMA one step further and will concentrate on addressing new trends in the automobile market for both countries.

Speaking about the same, Fumihiko said that this partnership will be helpful for both the countries to strengthen the automotive industry. He also said that there is a common interest to meet standards and it will help to understand the focus of both the countries.

This agreement that was signed will give opportunities for both the countries to discuss about automotive market trends, investment opportunities, trade agreements, policies, etc.
