Rolls Royce Ghost V-Specification Limited Edition Custom Build Model
The current Rolls Royce Ghost is soon to receive a facelift and the recently announced Ghost V-Specification limited edition model is perhaps the last current gen Ghost we'll see.
We do not know the reason behind the unelegant name for this luxurious model. But it perhaps has something to do with the version being a build-to-order only limited edition model.
Rolls Royce will build the Ghost V-Specification only between January and June 2014 and will do so only when a customer commissions one.
The story continues in the next section. Click through the slides for more:
While Rolls Royce customers are given plenty of freedom when it comes to customization, a few standard features that are different from the regular Ghost concern the engine.
The same 6.6 liter V12 powers the Ghost V-Specification, but it has been uprated by 30 HP, taking the final power output to 593 HP.
This allows the car to reach 96 km/h in 4.7 seconds which is ever so slightly faster than the regular Ghost. The engine is also said to be capable of delivering 80 percent of the power right from the start.
Despite the increase in performance Rolls Royce claims the Ghost V-Specification is slightly more fuel efficient and cleaner as well.
The V-Specification delivers a mileage of 7.35 km/l, while the standard Ghost gives 7 km/l. Carbon emitted is also less, from 329 g/km to 327 g/km.
Ghost V-Specification also brings exclusive visual features such a ‘V-Specification' pattern on the outside, optional chrome exhaust tips and 21 inch polished wheels.
The inside of the car once again features the ‘V-Specification' pattern on the treadplates, embroidered on the rear armrest and on the front multimedia screen lid. Lastly, the cabin displays a bespoke clock with a black crown.
Customers can have the limited edition Ghost painted in five new colors - Graphite, Black Sapphire, Black Kirsch, Arctic White and Infinity Black. But that's not a limitation in anyway as they buyers can still opt for any colour from Rolls-Royce's 44,000 hue palette.
Customers will be able to order the car in both standard and Ghost Extended Wheelbase variants for a cost of €330,820 (INR 2.78 crores).
