Renault Sport Trophy Race Car With 500+ HP Nismo Engine Teased
At this year's Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) in August, Renault will take the veils off of its new Trophy Racer. Renault Sport Technologies today teased the upcoming racer with an image showing the outline of the car.
The new RS Trophy racer will take part in the World Series by Renault single make championship.
Along with the teaser image, Renault has also released a few initial information about the race car to get us excited.
The engine, for instance, will be developed by Nismo and will develop over 500 bhp; the carbon monocoque will be built by Dallara; the 7-speed sequential gearbox, which will turn the rear wheels, will come from Sadev, while specifically developed tyres will be supplied by Michelin.
The Renault Sport Trophy racer will weigh just around 1100 kg, which would give it a power-to-weight ratio of a little less than 500 bhp/tonne.
Renault Sport Technologies will showcase the race car at MIAS which will take place from August 27 till September 7.
