Renault Electric Fluence For China Market
French four wheeler manufacturer Renault has been developing products for a while now. It is every manufacturers dream to be in the forefront in terms of technology. Renault is no different and wants to see itself as a sustainable manufacturer.
Renault offers a wide range of products across the globe. They have a strong footing in India as well thanks to its compact SUV, the Duster. However, today we have some interesting news regarding the French manufactures sedan.
In India Renault offers its Fluence sedan, it is also available in a selected few markets. The French manufacturer offers this sedan in China as well. However, the now plan to offer a vehicle based on the Fluence with an electric option.
They will manufacturer the electric Fluence in China itself for another company, they have not disclosed the company's name, however, it is a Chinese owned company. The electric vehicle will be a good addition to Renault's portfolio.
Currently Renault is present in the Chinese automobile space with their partner Dongfeng Motors. they had earlier received permission that they could locally assemble vehicles in China, thus allowing them to be more competitive in a tough market.
It will be interesting to see if Renault opts to provide the electric Fluence in India as well. The Indian market is growing and having an electric option from the French manufacturer sounds interesting. Currently they offer a petrol and diesel engine option in India.
Renault will be introducing new products in India, they will be launching their AWD Duster within this month. They plan to introduce several new products in India, we wonder if an electric Fluence could make its way. If It does we expect it to be priced at a premium and could be out of reach for money.
