Video: Would You Still Buy A Datsun GO?
With road safety becoming a big concern in the modern world, safety tests are becoming stricter as well. One good example is the recent test conducted by Global New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).
The global company that conducts crash tests on vehicles and rates vehicles with stars in terms of safety, recently tested two cars in India- both failed pathetically.
The first car tested was the very popular hatch, the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The car failed to even get one star. Occupants would have had severe, if not fatal injuries in case of a head on collision. The car does not have airbags as standard.

The second car tested was the Nissan Datsun GO. This vehicle too, failed miserably, almost killing potential occupants.
Both the carmakers, Nissan and Maruti, ended up defending themselves instead of rectifying their car models.
The serious question about this is "why?". Maruti officials, when asked about the Swift's results, they simply answered saying the car has met all Indian standards. And so did Nissan.

The manufacturers also have the guts to claim their vehicle sales will not be affected as well. Have they taken customers for granted by selling poorly-built cars?
