Nissan To Launch Sunny Facelift On 3rd July, 2014

Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan will be launching the updated version of its Sunny sedan. They had showcased the new model at the 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi. The facelifted version of the sedan will sport a host of upgrades.

The 2014 version of Nissan's Sunny will get redesigned bumpers, headlights and grille. The interiors of the Sunny will also get a several upgrades by the Japanese engineers. It will receive piano black console, all new entertainment system, Bluetooth, improved seat fabrics, parking aids and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Nissan will offer the 2014 version of Sunny in eight trims. Five will be diesel trims and three will be petrol options. The Japanese manufacturer will also offer new paint schemes for the 2014 sedan. It will also get a remapped ECU, for marginally better fuel efficiency.

The petrol-powered Nissan Sunny will sport a 1.5-litre engine. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and will produce 99 horsepower, while the X-Tronic CVT will generate 101 horsepower. Both transmissions will have similar torque outputs at 134 Nm.

Nissan Sunny diesel powered vehicles will have a 1.5-litre engine under the hood. The diesel engine will produce 200 Nm of peak torque along with 86 horsepower. It will deliver a fuel efficiency of 22.71 kpl, compared to 21.64 kpl in the earlier model.
