Mini Prepare A Pickup Out Of Paceman

Nowadays every manufacturer is trying to jump across platforms. There is loads of platform sharing going on too. Mini has recently decided it does not want to remain far away from the rest.

Mini has experimented with almost every body style present. They have so far not yet developed a pickup vehicle. Now finally thanks to a group of interns Mini has their first pickup vehicle ready to flaunt.

The pickup vehicle is called Mini Paceman Adventure. It is based on the structure of a Paceman by the company. The Paceman Adventure was jointly created by BMW's young apprentices and their mentors.

We really think this vehicle has some good potential. Mini too is doing a good job by providing young talent with the tools. The future looks bright for Mini provided these designers be with them.

Paceman Adventure utilises Mini Cooper S Paceman all-wheel drivetrain as well as engine, which produces 184 horsepower. It is a two-seater vehicle, which has ample amount of space in the flat bed behind. The spare wheel is now on the roof for more trunk space.

The Pickup still retains Mini's design philosophy and hasn't been disturbed too much. The chassis has been modified for better ground clearance. The air-intake has been taken to the roof to enable river crossing even in deep waters.

Since the car is planned for adventurous routes they will be fitted with additional lights on the roof as well as in the front cross member. The vehicle sports special off-road tyres. It also sports a special Jungle green metallic paint finish.

Mini has confirmed their Paceman Adventure will not be mass produced and they have no future plans for it. It was a one off vehicle, which showcases what they could offer in the future.
