Mercedes-Benz India Launches Edition 1 A-Class And B-Class
Mercedes-Benz India has just launched the ‘Edition 1' of the A-Class and B-Class in India. The A-Class Edition 1 is priced at INR 26.17 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) while the B-Class will retail at INR 28.75 lakh. Both cars will be available as diesel variants only and restricted to 200 units.
Boris Fitz, President, Sales and Network Development, said in a statement, "The A-Class and B-Class New Generation cars captured the imagination of young Indians who were new to luxury motoring and delineated the changing preference of the youth in today's social milleu, who increasingly prefer compact luxury as an integral part of their lifestyle."

The new A-Class Edition 1 hatchback sees features like comfort suspension, ECO start-stop function, and safety features like 7 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ASR (Acceleration Skid Control), electric parking brake, Brake Assist System (BAS), Attention Assist, and Hill Start Assist.
The special-edition A-Class also gets a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, reverse camera and a new rear centre armrest with cupholders.
The car, in addition, receives matte-black sport decals on the sides and Edition 1 badges at the rear. Also new are the 17-inch alloy wheels.
The limited B-Class Edition 1 is also feature-rich. The new car gets 7 airbags, ESP, ASR, Hill Start Assist, reverse camera and a tyre pressure loss warning indicator.
The B-Class Edition 1 receives a rear centre armrest with cupholders, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, glossy black exterior mirror housings and a rear seat entertainment system.
The car, like the B-Class, gets Edition 1 badging, side decals and glossy black hub caps for its 16-inch light alloy wheels.
With sales to be restricted to just 100 units each of the A-Class and B-Class, these cars should be snapped up fairly quickly by customers wanting that little extra dash of exclusivity to their new rides.
