German luxury car manufacturer has a strong presence in India. They had earlier this year decided to name 2014 as their ‘Year of Excellence'. During this period the manufacturer launched several new products in segments that were not present in India.
Their goal was to also increase their dealership network substantially. Mercedes-Benz India has realised they are receiving orders for their vehicles from where they never originally imagined.
The German manufacturer has strategically expanded its network in India. They are now present in over 37 cities of India with 67 showrooms. So far, they have inaugurated eight new dealerships in 2014. Their latest is in a Tier 3 emerging market, Kanpur.
Boris Fitz, VP Sales and Network Development, Mercedes-Benz India commented, "Mercedes-Benz India is committed to the Indian market and inauguration of a new dealership in Kanpur underlines this commitment. We are creating benchmark in modern luxury across markets and our first-ever outlet in Kanpur is a reiteration of our pledge of extending the luxury automotive experience to the growing customer base in emerging markets."
He further added, "Mercedes-Benz's strategic network expansion caters to customers who aspire to own the Three Pointed Star. 2014, our ‘Year of Excellence' has been exciting for us, as we continue to fascinate our customers and bring the Mercedes-Benz brand even closer to our discerning customers in newer markets."
The Kanpur dealership of Mercedes-Benz has taken over 11 months to be built. An investment of INR 2.5 crore across 4,000 sq. ft. has been spent and it can display five cars at a time. The showroom will sport a Mercedes-Benz cafe, along with their video wall and an experienced team.
Smart Hoops Kanpur, Mercedes-Benz showroom is located at The Mall, PPN Market in Kanpur. It will have a dedicated team of experienced personnel to cater to the needs of customers. The German manufacturer will be launching its new C-Class in India on 25th November and will continue with new products in 2015.
