Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG Launching On 27th October
German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is on a launching spree, since the very beginning of 2014. The manufacturer had announced at 2014 Auto Expo that there would be several new products entering India in 2014. So far, they have not disappointed us and their most recent launch was its GLA Class.
On the 27th of October, 2014 Mercedes-Benz India will be introducing us to their power packed GLA 45 AMG 4MATIC. The German manufacturer had recently launched its first compact sedan in India the CLA45 AMG, which has been an instant hit with buyers.
The compact SUV will be powered by a 1991cc gasoline engine. The German manufacturer has extracted 360 horsepower, along with 450 Nm of torque from a 4-cylinder turbo engine. Mercedes-Benz have provided its GLA 45 AMG with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission.
The German engineers have electronically restricted top speed of its GLA 45 AMG to 249 km/h. The compact SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.8 seconds. Mercedes-Benz claim their vehicle delivers fuel efficiency figures of 15.98 kpl, owing to its EU 6 emission standards.
The engine used in GLA 45 AMG is true to its tradition of ‘one man, one engine' philosophy. The engine is completely hand built by skilled German engineers and is a definite treat. The vehicle also sports three transmission modes to achieve optimum acceleration.
Mercedes-Benz GLA Class competes head on with its German rivals Audi Q3 and BMW X1. The three pointed star now has an ace up its sleeve with a more power packed version of their compact SUV in the form of GLA 45 AMG. Pricing has not been shared but is expected to be aggressively placed, stay tuned for updates from the launch on 27th of October.
