Mercedes-Benz Continues Its Strong Performance In India
The German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz India has been a benchmark performer all this year. They have so far launched eight new models along with five new dealerships, they further plan to introduce nine more outlets across India.
Mercedes-Benz has earlier announced that this was the ‘Year of Excellence' for them. so far they have sold 7,529 vehicles since January to September, 2014. However, during January to September, 2013 the German luxury car maker sold 6461 vehicles, which is a 16% increase in sales.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India expressed, "The first three quarters of 2014 has been very satisfying for Mercedes-Benz given the tough market conditions the industry battled. We are glad that our carefully crafted business strategy under the umbrella of "Year of Excellence" has been immensely successful and very well accepted by our customers."
He further added, "We have launched eight new cars, sold more cars than ever before, expanded to newer markets, added newer customer base, connected with more customers through our brand connect programmes and offered more value to our customers. The results of these initiatives have been an inclusive growth for the brand in India in the first three quarters."
Mercedes-Benz recently launched their GLA-Class, which accounted for one of the best pre-bookings in recent times. The German luxury car maker has a strong product portfolio and has recorded over 1000 plus unit sales in the month of September, 2014.
