Maruti Suzuki To Increase Celerio AMT Production
Japanese automobile giant and India's largest four wheeler manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has new plans for a recent product. The Celerio was launched in India during the 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi. The hatchback's AMT variant has been an instant hit with many customers.

Maruti Suzuki had not anticipated such huge demand for its AMT version and started falling back on bookings. This gave rise to extensive waiting periods; buyers hate to wait for something they are paying for. Now the Japanese manufacturer has opted to increase production to cope with a four month waiting period.
At the beginning, Maruti Suzuki had planned to produce only 4,500 vehicles of the Celerio. However, they are currently manufacturing almost 6,500 Celerios every month to keep up with demand and most importantly not lose its customers to another manufacturer.

The Japanese automobile giant sources its AMT from Magneti Marelli in Italy. There is a shortage of supply from their end, which is hampering the deliveries of Celerio AMT. Currently there is no waiting period for the manual Celerio. Maruti Suzuki has increased its product range by offering the Celerio with a factory fitted CNG kit.
Maruti Suzuki offers the Celerio AMT in India at an attractive price of INR 4,14,000 to INR 4,43,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. The manual transmission Celerio by the Japanese manufacturer ranges from INR 3,76,000 to INR 4,78,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. The Celerio hatchback competes with Honda Brio and Hyundai i10, both costing more than the Celerio for the automatic variant.
